In short
- You do not need an account, a name or an email to use the Interface.
- We see the wallet addresses you connect and, like any website, your IP address.
- We do not sell your information, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking.
- What you do on a blockchain is public and permanent; nobody, including us, can erase it.
What we collect
- Wallet addresses. When you connect a wallet, the Interface asks our servers for that address’s balances, orders and history, so our servers see the address. A wallet address can be personal information when it can be linked to you.
- What you submit. Signed limit orders and other signed messages you send through the Interface, and the details of bridge transfers you request.
- Technical data. Your IP address, browser type, the time of each request and the pages or data requested, recorded in our server logs.
- Approximate location. The country of your IP address, looked up on our own servers in a DB-IP database; your IP is not sent to anyone else for this.
- Visit statistics on swopus.com. Counted with a self-hosted analytics tool (Umami) that sets no cookies and reports only totals.
- Messages. What you send us when you contact the team.
Your settings, the notices you have accepted and transfers in progress are kept in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device and are not sent to us.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, email, phone number or identity documents, we never see your private keys or recovery phrase, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- to run the Interface: show your balances, prepare transactions, accept your orders;
- to apply the Terms of Use, including the regional restrictions and the limits on beta features;
- to keep the Interface secure and working, and to find and fix errors;
- to prevent fraud, abuse and unlawful activity, and to meet legal obligations;
- to answer you when you contact us;
- to understand, in aggregate, how the Interface is used and improve it.
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on what is needed to provide the Interface you asked for, on our legitimate interest in running it securely, and on legal obligations.
Blockchain data is public
Transactions on KleverChain, Robinhood Chain, Base, Ethereum and other public blockchains — addresses, amounts, times — are visible to anyone and recorded permanently. Swopus cannot edit, hide or delete them. Disconnecting your wallet or making a privacy request does not remove past on-chain activity.
Services your browser talks to
To work, the Interface loads data directly from services Swopus does not run. Each of them receives your IP address, and some receive your wallet address, under their own privacy policies:
- Wallets — your wallet app or extension, and WalletConnect (Reown) when you connect a wallet on another device;
- Blockchain nodes — public RPC providers for KleverChain, Robinhood Chain, Base and Ethereum, such as Klever, Robinhood Chain, Base, dRPC and PublicNode;
- Bridge providers — for quotes and transfer status, such as Relay and Across;
- Market data — GeckoTerminal and CoinGecko;
- Fonts — Fontshare and Google Fonts;
- Block explorers — such as KleverScan, Blockscout, Etherscan and Basescan, when you follow a link.
How long we keep it
We keep server logs and other off-chain information only as long as we need them for the purposes above, security and legal obligations. On-chain data stays on the blockchain indefinitely. Local storage stays in your browser until you clear it.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold, but no system is completely secure. Keep your recovery phrase to yourself; we will never ask for it.
International processing
Our servers and the services listed above may process information in countries whose data protection laws differ from yours.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you, to object to or restrict its use, to receive a copy of it, and to complain to a data protection authority. Contact us to use them. We cannot change or delete anything recorded on a blockchain.
You can use most of the Interface without connecting a wallet, and you can clear the Interface’s local storage in your browser at any time.
Children
The Interface is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Interface or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
